Demon DDA-2S-BLACK High Power (40Amp), Automatic Discharger for 2S Lipo - BLACK
Suitable for 2S Lipo including LiHv (SHV)
Aluminium construction with Heatsink.
Powerful voltage regulated 50mm fans.
Up to 350watts dissipation
Approx 40 Amps load current
Digital display of Lipo voltage
Adjustable voltage cutoff between 6.3 and 8.4 (off).
Safety discharge lockout . Will not operate below 6Volts or above 8.7volts.
Flashing Green LED when Lipo is connected and when discharge is complete.
Connect 2S Lipo. Display will show voltage.. Green LED flashes.
Adjust Knob anti-clockwise (pointing to left).
Press and hold start button briefly until discharging starts.
Note: If Lipo is flat or incorrect voltage, discharge will stop as soon as button released.
Fans will start and LED will go off.
The voltage of the Lipo will fall rapidly as soon as discharge starts.
To set the cutoff voltage for your make of Lipo, watch the voltage display until desired voltage is reached. Example 7.00volts.
At that point slowly turn the knob until discharge stops and LED flashes.. (Fans also stop)
You can leave the knob at that point for future discharges.
Note that the Lipo voltage will rise after the discharge ends, as it recovers.
The discharge sequence can be started again by the button press, but Lipo voltage will fall again.
If the knob is left fully to the left, the cutoff will be about 6.3volts which is a totally discharged Lipo.
Note that old Lipo may start to swell at total discharge, so 7.00V is recommended as cutoff.
Higher cutoff voltages are useful for storage .
Note: Lipo will heat up during discharge which is normal.
Older and lower power Lipo may heat more, and care must be taken not to exceed about 40 degreeC. (If the ambient temperature is high, beware of overheating.)
Note: The discharge can be stopped at any time by turning the knob clockwise (to the right), or by disconnecting the Lipo.
Size: 185 x 120 x 80cm (Plus wires)
Weight: 1.16 Kgm
10 gauge connecting wires with universal 4/5mm plugs.
Start button and Voltage adjust knob.
Digital display of Lipo Voltage.
Reverse voltage protected.
The discharger will get hot during discharge, and cools slowly after discharge ends.
Do not cover the fan grills. One is air in, the other is hot air out.
It is not necessary to discharge in a Lipo safety bag, but it will help to retain heat.
Old and low power Lipo may swell if deeply discharged. Only high power good condition Lipo should be deep discharged.
Do not leave Lipo unattended when discharging (or charging).
Do not leave a Lipo connected to the discharger as it will very slowly discharge it.
